Technology Night & Insider Expo - A great success for everyone involved!
On June 10, BioCampus Cologne (BCC) and CADLAB together opened their doors to everyone for the first time at the Technology Night in Cologne. The event was a great success!

The program of the innovative start-up company CADLAB “Wetlab Tour — Experience OP live” was eagerly awaited and rewarded with great success.
Due to safety and hygiene standards, it was unfortunately not possible for every company to give the public direct insight into laboratory and production units. The idea and implementation of the “Insider Expo” therefore also enabled all other companies to participate in the Technology Night. This was followed by an exciting expo on two levels of the high-rise building with the companies from our two Cologne-based technology sites BCC and RTZ (Cologne Technology and Start-Up Center on the right bank of the Rhine) as well as other network partners, which we will remember positively for a long time to come.
Before the actual official start for the public at 18:00 there was time for the “insiders” and invited guests to get to know each other, network and relax with finger food and cool drinks.
Even before the public section began, a great many interested and positively impatient visitors gathered in front of the main entrance to the high-rise building. Such an influx was new, unique and impressive. Many wanted to visit CADLAB. Some guests came to visit our Expo, simply wanted to know what is behind BioCampus Cologne, which companies work there, what does it look like on the inside or simply wanted to take in the view of Cologne from the 11th floor. The event gave around 250 visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with the highly innovative technology companies.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the Technology Park, there was also a highly interesting picture show on several screens about BioCampus Cologne with historical impressions from the past to the present day.
On the 11th floor, our network partners gave BtS — Life Sciences Student Initiative e.V. as well as Gateway Excellence Start-up Center of the University of Cologne and the company Sanofi Insights about apprenticeships, study programs, career opportunities and current job offers in the innovation and technology sector. The stand of Mittelstand-Digital Rheinland led into the world of VR. The Sanofi cinema showed interesting films about the production of medicines and about the global company itself. Many visitors ended the innovation evening in the roof garden with a view of Cologne with a delicious ice cream or cold drink and good music.
